Ayutthaya, Thailand, September 6, 2004 - KR
Precision, announced that it has filed claims against Magnecomp in
the United States District Court for the Central District of
California for patent infringement, unfair trade practices,
inducing breach of contract, interfering with business and
employee relations, and theft of trade secrets.
In addition KR Precision has sought;
declaratory judgments for invalidity and declaratory judgments for
non-infringement of each of the six patents previously asserted by
Magnecomp and, asserted claims for inequitable conduct during
prosecution of the asserted patents, and patent misuse. KR
Precision seeks damages, and preliminary and permanent injunctive
relief.
KR Precision has retained Hunton & Williams LLP
to defend the company and to prosecute these counterclaims against
Magnecomp.
